Hydrant Testing

I have just been advised that the Suffolk County Water Authority will be on the Eastern Campus this morning performing their annual test of fire hydrant pressure. This process occasionally causes temporary fluctuations in campus water pressure and turbidity (coloration). Please be prepared for this possibility, and report any serious problems to Plant Operations at x-2568.

Northeast Entry Door - Peconic Building

The discussed changes to the controls on the exterior automatic doors on the Northeast side of the Peconic Building have now been put into effect. These doors will now operate only when triggered by the post mounted operator button adjacent to the doors - not by the infrared sensor. The intent is that this entrance now be utilized only by individuals with accessibility challenges, with all other traffic being directed to the entrance on the North side of the building.
