In addition to the work described in the post below, the contractor is also planning to begin the horizontal drilling under the buildings (Shinnecock, Orient, and Peconic) to tie in the HTHW piping to the mechanical rooms this weekend ( Sat. 7/19 & Sun. 7/20). This work will all take place outside the buildings, but it too is inherently noisy and will involve large machinery on and around the central quad area. Please use extra caution in this vicinity.

This Saturday (7/19), the contractor working on the HTHW piping replacement project will begin excavation in the mechanical rooms Shinnecock (S102), Orient (O138), and Peconic (P103) Buildings. This work will be localized entirely within the mechanical spaces, but the nature of it (saw cutting and jack hammering concrete) is inherently noisy and dusty.
