I've just received word that our semi-annual energy curtailment exercise has been scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, 3/27) between 11am and 12. As in the past, we are encouraged to reduce campus electrical load to the greatest extent possible. Since there are very few activities that I am aware of taking place on campus tomorrow, Plant Operations will attempt to curtail lighting and equipment in most areas during this period. Please call x-2568 if you have any questions related to this exercise. Your assistance in maximizing this effort is greatly appreciated.

Excavation was begun this morning for the new ramp being installed on the West side of the Shinnecock Building to provide additional accessibility to the stage level of S101. This area will be enclosed by a construction fence, and back filled by the end of the week. Please use caution when moving around this site.

Please Note: The electrical contractor for the Site Safety Improvements project will be on campus tomorrow (Wednesday, 3/26) to begin replacement of light fixtures in the East and West parking fields. This operation will require the use of a large lift truck. As the lots should be relatively empty during this break in the academic schedule, it is should be possible to park away from the immediate vicinity of the light bases, thereby allowing the contractor easier access with the lift. Please also exhibit caution around construction vehicles, equipment, and personnel.

Project Update: The exercise equipment for the Woodchuck Fitness Trail is being installed this week, just in time to begin those springtime get-in-shape routines
